Privacy notice

BlueHarbor Marine & Engineering Ltd. processes personal data under Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843). This notice describes what the platform actually does with candidate data.

What we collect

Identity and contact details you provide: name, date of birth, sex, region, phone number and email address.

Trade information: years of experience, primary trade, welding processes held, highest qualification and training institution.

Travel readiness: whether you hold a passport and, if so, its expiry date.

Documents you upload: national identity document, photograph, curriculum vitae, and optionally passport and trade certificates.

Assessment records: trade test results, examination outcomes and any recorded deviation.

Why we hold it

To assess your suitability, verify your identity and qualifications, certify your competence and present you to a prospective placement partner.

You record explicit consent, against a versioned policy, before an application is created. Consent is never pre-ticked or assumed.

How it is stored

Uploaded documents are held in private storage, separated per user, and are never published or shared through a public link.

Where a member of staff needs to view a document, the platform issues a short-lived access link that expires within sixty seconds.

Access to candidate records is restricted by role and enforced by the database. Aggregate board reporting contains no personal data.

Your rights

You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask for inaccurate data to be corrected, or withdraw your application.
