Division 04

Technical Workforce Solutions

BlueHarbor was established in part to answer that demand — not as a recruitment intermediary, but as an organisation accountable for competence.

The model

  1. 01Assess

Structured technical assessment against the role specification agreed with the client before any candidate is approached.

  2. 02Certify

Formal trade testing. Candidates below standard are routed into targeted training rather than screened out, which grows the pool instead of exhausting it.

  3. 03Mobilise

Documentation, immigration, insurance, induction and deployment managed centrally, with a single accountable point of coordination.

Before mobilisation

Eight verifications before mobilisation

  1. 01Identity and right to work in the destination jurisdiction
  2. 02Qualifications and certification for the role and location
  3. 03Medical fitness for the role and location
  4. 04Role-specific safety induction
  5. 05Site-specific safety induction for the receiving site
  6. 06Written terms of engagement, issued and accepted
  7. 07Insurance and repatriation cover
  8. 08HSEQ arrangements at the receiving site

Commitments

We maintain contact with mobilised personnel throughout an assignment, provide a route by which they can raise a safety or welfare concern independently of the site they are working on, and record every incident affecting them regardless of who operates that site.

Frequently asked

How does BlueHarbor assure competence?
Through a three-step model: assess, certify, mobilise. Candidates are assessed against the role specification agreed with the client before anyone is approached, formally trade tested, and mobilised with documentation, immigration, insurance, induction and deployment coordinated centrally.
What is verified before a worker is mobilised?
Eight things are verified before mobilisation: identity and right to work in the destination jurisdiction; qualifications and certification for the role and location; medical fitness; role-specific safety induction; site-specific induction for the receiving site; written terms of engagement issued and accepted; insurance and repatriation cover; and HSEQ arrangements at the receiving site.
What happens to candidates who fall below standard?
They are routed into targeted training rather than screened out, which grows the pool instead of exhausting it. BlueHarbor also maintains contact with mobilised personnel throughout an assignment and provides an independent route to raise a safety or welfare concern.
